Client: city of salzburg, department for real estates (Stadt Salzburg Immobilien GmbH)
Architect: Karl & Bremhorst Architekten, Wien
Functions: ball sports hall with three sections including a multifunctional room, a café and offices for the administration and associations as well as changing rooms, an athletics track, three soccer fields, a curling track and beach-volleyball court.
Overcome challenges: a lighthouse project of the city of salzburg due to a handicapped accessible ball sport hall and an energy efficient type of construction (+energy, “smart buidling”) with building component activation and thermal solar system as well as a photovoltaic array.
Added value for our client: ball sport hall planned in consideration of disabled athletes. Plus-energy-building with a photovoltaic array, thermal solar system and building component activation.
