Functions:
In the Josef Rehrl School, children and adolescents with hearing impairments and possible mental impairments are cared for. There is a primary school, a new secondary school and a special pedagogical school. In addition to the classic rooms required for school operations, therapy rooms (ergotherapy, speech therapy, speech therapy and psychotherapy) are planned. In addition, special consideration was given to the requirements of deaf people and the music room, for example, is equipped with a "music swinging floor" where music can be felt by vibrations and can be enhanced by projected images of perception that match the music.
In school classes, the needs of hearing-impaired persons are taken into consideration by special measures such as induction etc. and special attention is paid to the barrier-free design for persons with physical disabilities. A "Snoozelen room" is available for relaxation.
Overcome challenges:
Ensuring quality and quantity for the future tenant/user, consulation of the developer regarding costs, accessible constructing and repercussions of alterations of the execution on the project outcome.
