project description
Client: Community of Elsbethen
Architect: Thalmeier Architecture
Functions:
The new sports facility to be built will be home to five clubs: curling, USK football club, tennis club, ski club and youth club.
The curling hall for the curlers will be dimensioned according to international guidelines. The football club and the tennis club will then have additional space available for the development of young talents. The ski club will receive storage and storage rooms. Furthermore, the clubhouse offers space for a bouldering and climbing wall, as well as a street soccer/basketball combination and a beach volleyball court for the public.
Challenges overcome:
Large-scale slope stabilization with shotcrete and ground anchors; soil replacement in areas of cohesive subsoil conditions or the area to be built on; combination of orbital concrete construction with prefabricated construction. Handling during ongoing operation of tennis courts and soccer pitches.
