Functions:
After demolition of two existing buildings from the 1970s, the new building was erected, which includes an underground car park with 50 parking spaces as well as a movement room for the practice schools. At the same time, the "middle wing" was renovated or adapted and converted into a special teaching tower containing rooms for arts education, workshops, physics/biology/chemistry and teaching kitchens.
Furthermore, the existing building in the west will be extensively renovated and extended. In this part there are 21 seminar rooms and three computer rooms. The sports wing will also be renovated in the course of the construction work.
The parts of the building will be connected to each other via the all-round glazed ground floor. This is where the company kitchen, buffet, dining rooms, auditoriums, library and two large lecture halls will be located.
Challenges overcome:
Complex static upgrading of the existing building.
